Violet (aka Queen Violet)

Violet is a lovely Thoroughbred mare that is around 30 years old. She was part of the Powell Butte horse racing scam seizure back in 2009. We believe she was a brood mare back then as she has a very “motherly” tendency towards the herd to which she belongs. She is a very strong willed horse than requires calm approaches and kind words.  Violet is not only striking in her size, but if you're lucky enough to see her run, you'll be amazed at how she floats with such grace and beauty. She is always watching out for the herd and makes sure everyone has what they need - which is why we view her as the matriarch, the Queen!. We love her sweet nature and kindness.
