Surrender Prevention

Owners can sometimes reach dire situations, often through no fault of their own. At times of struggle, we strive to provide temporary assistance. Please reach out to us to complete the application form and we can see what we can do to help.

Options for temporary help:

  • Hay bank

  • Grain / supplements

  • Farrier

  • General medical (dental, vaccinations, gelding, sheath clean)

  • Emergency medical

  • Squeeze chute for medically compromised horses or hard-to treat / trim horses

  • Saddle fitting

  • Emergency Preparedness

  • Temporary boarding

  • Temporary medical shelter

  • Humane euthanasia when vet recommended

Gelding Operations:

If you own a colt or stallion, getting him gelded so he can have a good life with other horses is very important. Thousands of horses are being exported out of the United States for slaughter, therefore breeding your horse only adds to the current horse overpopulation. Geldings make excellent horses and their quality of life is much better as a gelding as they’re able to interact safely with other horses. We can help with financial assistance paid directly to the veterinarian for the procedure.

Responsible Horse Ownership Means Always Doing the Best for Your Horse.

Humane Euthanasia aka “Last Act of Kindness”:

You must have a plan for your horse in a tragic situation. What if your horse colics and the vet recommends euthanasia? Sometimes the need for the “Last Act of Kindness” is unexpected, other times you know it’s coming and you’re trying to plan. Regardless of your circumstance, we are here to help you and your horse. If your horse needs the “Last Act of Kindness” we can help with financial assistance paid directly to the veterinarian for the procedure. Euthanasia is hard to think about, but if you aren’t responsible for your horse when issues arise, your horse could end up suffering or in a slaughterhouse.
