Finn
ADOPTED - Finn has officially been adopted to his forever home!!
Finn is an 8-year-old Yakima Reservation horse. He is super stocky, 13.5 hands and approximately 750 lbs. Yakima Horses are known for hardiness, endurance, resilience, strength, intelligence, fast learners, versatile, loyal and bond well with handlers. They do need handlers with confidence and clarity. Finn is quickly making friends in the Herd. On a 1–5 scale (1 being green and 5 being fully trained), he is about a 3.5. We are working with him to get him up to speed. He can get scared if you act too forceful in handling him. He is a “hesitant” energy type. He loves to explore and is always interested in what people are doing. He identifies as a Pawn in “Horse Speak Roles of the Herd” and is not big on making any of his own decisions. He does not like going out on adventures on the trail alone. He is therefore a good horse to ride in the middle of the group. He is sweet in nature and good with kids. He is living the dream at his forever home as of October 2024!
