Tex (aka Prancer)

Tex’s owner passed away and his widow tried her best to care for Tex and his buddy, Oatmeal, but soon realized it was too much for her and her disabilities. Her sister-in-law suggested she reach out to us and luckily, we were able to help these two sweet equines! Tex is a Thoroughbred gelding around 10 years old. He comes with lots of training for the trail and packing although he needs a quick refresh. He has “parrot-mouth”, basically an overbite, but that does not affect his use of bit or riding. Someone along the way had trouble brushing out his tail and ended up with scissors (eye roll) - but that will grow out someday. You should see this fellow prance! He is a delight to watch! He gets along with the herd well and is not fazed by dogs. Have not tested him with children yet. Come visit this handsome dude today!
