Opal

Opal was rescued from a hoarding situation in Prinevillle as a brood mare. She was a lovely buckskin mare that lived until around 37 years old. She had never been on grass fields before she came to us so, although she was shy around people, we know she enjoyed her years with us. She got the unique chance to be a “grandma” to little River before she passed, which gave her a real sense of purpose and love. She was Fremont’s mate until she passed. We miss her terribly and so did Fremont before he recently passed away at age 30.. There never will be another “queen bee” like Opal.
